Infosys Jobs for Freshers : Infosys Ltd, India's second-largest IT services provider has made ambitious plans to hire more than 20,000 new employees in the next fiscal year (FY26). This action comes with the ongoing expansion of India's second-largest exporter of software services, which added 5,591 workers in the December quarter over the September quarter.
At the end of the quarter, the IT giant had 323,000 employees, an increase of around 5,600 over the previous quarter. This is the second quarter in a row in which headcount of firm has increased.
"We've had a strong hiring in Q3, with this expansion of over 5,000 employees. And we see that based on some of the discretionary, this will continue, but it will have seasonality as we see in our revenue," said Infosys CEO Salil Parekh.
"Attrition at this point in time has remained at 13.7%, which is one of the lower attrition rates that we have seen in the last multiple years. It's range bound, and we don't see a challenge there at this point in time. We have already added net new employees in the last two quarters, and our campus hiring program is also in as per our plan," Parekh added.
Future Hiring Plans
Infosys has announced ambitious plans to hire over 20,000 freshers in the upcoming fiscal year (FY26).
"We are expecting for FY26 at this point in time, 20,000 plus fresher hiring. We do not really give our outlook in terms of the lateral hiring that is dependent on multiple factors, you know, how the demand grows, how the attrition pans out etc. But over the years, we have now moved to a very agile hiring model. So, we can pretty much fill it in India in 2 to 3 months, on-site in less than a month in terms of the demand," said Infosys CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka.

The company announced a 11.46 percent growth in third-quarter net profit on Thursday, citing increased demand, prompting the company to lift its annual sales projection for the third time this fiscal year.
Net profit increased to Rs 6,806 crore in October-December - the third quarter of the fiscal year April 2024 to March 2025 (FY25), up from Rs 6,106 crore the previous year, according to a corporate statement. Revenue increased 7.6 percent to Rs 41,764 crore. Infosys increased its full-year revenue growth projection to 4.5-5 percent from 3.75-4.5% before.
